Hey everyone, I’ve been diagnosed with low testosterone and my doc recommended Clomid. Can anyone share how long it takes for it to start working? Any tips on the dosage or side effects?

Hello MuscleMan123! Great question. Clomid is often used off-label in men to help increase sperm count and improve testosterone levels. Typically, you’ll start seeing improvements within the first few weeks of starting treatment.

I started Clomid a month ago and my doc did some tests last week; it seems like my sperm count has increased a bit. It’s been worth the wait so far!

That's fantastic to hear, FitnessFreak98! Typically, you’ll need to take Clomid for about 6-12 weeks before noticing significant changes. This is because your body needs time to adjust and start producing more testosterone and sperm.

Thanks, DrSmooth! So it's not an overnight fix then?

Correct, MuscleMan123. It’s important to be patient and follow your doctor’s instructions closely. Clomid works by stimulating the pituitary gland to release more follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), which in turn boost testosterone production.

Got it. What about the dosage? My doc said I should start with a low dose and increase if needed?

Absolutely right, MuscleMan123. It’s common to start with a lower dose like 25 mg daily or 50 mg every other day and gradually increase if necessary. Your doc will monitor your progress and adjust the dosage as needed based on blood tests and symptoms.

I started with 50 mg every other day. My doc did some baseline blood work before I began treatment to compare later. It’s important for tracking progress!

Side effects can vary from person to person, but they are generally mild. The most common ones include hot flashes, headaches, and mood swings. If you experience severe side effects or any unusual symptoms, contact your doctor immediately.
